Keynote Speaker - Laura Bartels
Laura Bartels is a past Director of the Colorado Straw Bale Association (now the Natural Building Alliance). Her professional path of 20 years brought her to be a leader in the field of sustainable building and community development. She worked with Martin Hammer and David Eisenberg in bringing Straw Bale Construction into the International Residential Code in 2015, providing key testimony before the ICC.

Activities include:
5x5s and 20x20s: Conference participants are invited to bring digital images to share during the popular evening slide shows. Let us know who your are and what you do - or show us your latest project! Your only limits are 5 images in 5 minutes, or 20 images at an average of 20 seconds each in 6 minutes.
Evening social hours for networking, making new friends, and catching up with old ones.

All Westerbeke Ranch employees are vaccinated. They expect that all guests are vaccinated too, and they require that we gather proof from you of that and sign for it. We are only required to reveal that information to them in the event of an outbreak. Those that are unvaccinated due to religious or medical reasons are required to provide a negative pcr test 72 hours prior arrival and must remain masked at all time.
At this time Westerbeke Ranch suggests that rapid tests results are provided at arrival. CASBA requests that you bring your own test if you choose to do so. FYI, it has just been announced that a 2nd round of 4 free tests per household will be available soon. https://www.covidtests.gov/
Westerbeke Ranch follows all CDC, Federal, State and Local Guidelines. At the moment it appears that all mask mandates for the general population have been rescinded and replaced with the strong suggestion to continue masking in indoors situations. Government recommendations also include upgrading your masks to N95s for improved health safety.
As we have all learned recently, this too could change... we'll let you know if it does.
